Hello, I’m Jane and I’m a writer

Welcome to my new blog and website. I’m Jane Candlish and this is where I will share my writing.

I’ve been a journalist and editor for more than 20 years, working for newspapers and for an academic institution. Latterly, I’ve been working with my partner, developing his art business in the Cairngorms National Park, as well as bring up our two young sons. You can read a bit more about my career on my About page.

This website is a new project for me as a freelancer.

I’m hoping to share some of my past work and some new projects. This could include fiction (which I am aspiring to write) and some of my freelance work. I also love macro photography so you might see a few pictures of beasties sneaking in from time to time.
